What makes a journey transformative? It’s those moments you didn’t plan for, that become lifelong memories. Like the time I hiked the White Sands in Colorado. I set out with grand ambition (yes, it was my idea!), certain the summit was just ahead—but the mountains just kept coming, and the horizon only stretched further! Halfway up, I jokingly filmed an “if I die” video for my family, and to this day, my husband and I still laugh about it. Did I regret my sense of adventure? Maybe in the middle. Did I cherish the view from the top? Absolutely. That’s what travel is all about—persistence, perspective, and a good story to tell at the end.
